The EuroTier 2008, an International DLG Trade Fair for Animal Handling and Management in Hannover, ended a few days ago. It impressively demonstrated its great appeal to livestock owners and specialists all over the world. A record attendance of 130,800 was reached, with 22,000 of those from overseas. The PATURA team can look back on the four successful exhibit days as having achieved a very solid presence at the fair. The course and result of EuroTier underlined the stability of the agriculture industry and the livestock owners' trust in the mid- and long-range outlook for the industry, despite general economic uncertainty. This positive trend was palpable at the PATURA booth. 21 employees were extremely busy explaining the advantages of the PATURA program to interested visitors. The entire program was on display in a space of 300 square meters, where our numerous products new to the exhibition took centre stage.

P15000: Cattle Crush for Large Herds

Once again, the centrepiece was the particularly successful electric fencing program featuring the new Multi-Voltage Energisers P4500 and P4600 for 12 V and 230 V operation, digital voltage control and automatic earthing control. It is the world's first Multi-Voltage Energiser with remote control.

As every year, the spectators focused their attention on the fence building demonstration on the specially-erected fence building stage. There we introduced our fence builder, Tino Krause, who placed 4th at the 2008 World Fence Building Championship. In addition, a continuous fence building demonstration took place, where our fence builders demonstrated their skills and passed along tips and tricks to the spectators.

Furthermore, the current state of technology for cowshed equipment for dairy cows and beef cattle was presented. Bale feeders, livestock handling equipment, livestock waterers and electronic scales, as well as electrical cattle brushes and wind protection systems rounded out the range of products.
